Walgreen’s Battle With Express Scripts

The two renowned companies of the healthcare industry - Walgreens and Express Scripts have failed to resolve a six month heated dispute over prescription reimbursement charges and Walgreen has finally left the network of Express Scripts. Not to mention, but the rift has affected millions of customers who were covered by the program fill at the Walgreen stores. According to Walgreen, Express Scripts has itself solely focused on drug spending and minting profit whereas their chain of stores is striving hard to lower the overall cost of healthcare. In order to fight back, Walgreen has initiated several steps and is offering special discount Prescription Savings Club at Walgreens.
