Solar panels are not really designed to be commercial or domestic. This is because, they can be used in different application since all they do is to convert sunlight to electricity. They can be used for both light and heat energy at home.

They also store electricity for a cloudy day and one can also sell back electricity to the grid if the system produces more electricity than you need.
