count number of words in a passage

Many of us would have needed to check the number of words that we have typed.Me being a blogger who sometimes writes for money and some posts requiring specific word count it was really a pain when it was needed to count the number of words in the passage each and every time.

I came upon a site called the www.wordcounttool.com.it did really help me in counting the number of words fastly.It also suits me as it doesn't count text which are only numbers or the hyphenated and the apostraphated words.

It also does not count HTML tags.The site uses javascript to count the number of spaces in the text with the exception of numbered text and removes the hyphenated and apostraphated words before starting to count.
