10 common(and stupid) mistakes of network managers

The listed mistakes are said to be the most common mistakes of the network managers.So any netwoking specialist reading this pay attention.


1.Not changing the default passwords on the networking devices
2.Setting the same password for all the devices.
3.Very poor SQL coding(it seems though you guys deal with only networks you also need to do well in SQL)
4.Carelessness in handling access control lists.
5.Misconfiguring remote access and management.
6.Forgetting to test for new vulnerabilities periodically.
7.Improper action action malware.
8. Giving less importance on the security of traffic leaving the network.
9.Not knowing the critical points of the network i.e where security needs to be at the greatest.
10.Not following the Security standards set by the industry.
