End of analog TV service

This friday is marking the end of analog transmission TV service and the birth of digital transmission in US.

This has been a long awaited and long planned change to release much of the frequencies used by the analog transmission of TV channels.These frequencies can be used for voice and data usage for mobile phones.

In order to help people in the transfer, the US government issues two 40$ coupons to each house on request.Though it has been a long planned one and people have been intimated beforehand people haven't yet bought the coupons and and used them to buy the digital to analog converters.

The last day,yesterday saw a marked increase in the request for coupons.

I just wish people were a bit more proactive.
